This is the weight of the hybrid system in the new M5 2025

After we knew you last week the all-new BMW M5 2025, today we will review with you the weight of the hybrid system in the BMW 5 Series high-performance M.

The new BMW M5 (BMW M5) has arrived, which is very heavy, the latest new BMW 2025 car of 2,445 kilograms (5,390 lb) identified by the Bavry manufacturer when posting pictures of the car that rivals the Mercedes E63, making it 463 kilograms (1,020 lb) heavier than the car that replaces it. According to the BMW M boss, Frank van Meel, most of this extra weight comes exclusively from the hybrid system.

Speaking to Top Gear, Van Mill argued that there was an integrated hybrid system instead of regular hybrid assistance, despite weight penalties.

“For us, it makes sense to go the entire road and get the full advantage of electricity, yes, the Plug in the new car’s PHEV adds a weight of 400 kilograms (881 pounds) of weight,” Van Mill told Top Gear.

The new M5 2025 G90 has been criticized for its weight, which as we mentioned at the beginning, 2,445 kilograms, that is, it weighs more than cars such as the Chevrolet Tahoe, the Ford F150, and the Lucid Air Saphire, and the weight of the hybrid system alone in this new car is about 408 kilograms (900 pounds), where the weight of the 2025 car without the calculation of the hybrid system is 2,041 kilograms (4,500 pounds).

Far from the weight of the newest 2025 cars bearing the BMW logo, we would like to remind you that the G90 generation of M5 cars mechanically depends on a 4.4-liter Twin-turbo V8 engine with an electric motor charged by the socket, so that the total power of this hybrid system is 717 hp (727 hp PS) and 1,000 Nm of torque, it connects with the automatic 8-speed M Steptronic gear, and the car accelerates from stillness to a speed of 96 km/h in 3.4 seconds.

The price of the new M5 2025 will start on the global market from $119,500 or the equivalent of 448,125
